Preparing for Emergency Situations

For any aspiring dive professional it is, without a doubt, necessary to acknowledge that there is a level of responsibility for student divers’ that requires the highest standards of dive education to adhere.

Through the PADI Standards of dive education and implementing thorough risk assessments within our dive operation, our Instructor Development Course (IDC) is conducted to graduate prudent and confident dive PADI Instructors to uphold the integrity of the dive industry.

Emergency situations can happen and IDC candidates are required to demonstrate a high level of competency in rescue skills.

Our Go PRO team of PADI Instructor Trainers, conduct rescue workshops to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of our IDC candidates. In these workshops, we do not train for a perfect performance, however the candidates’ skills are remediated through demonstration and counselling, as they are offered the real dive experience of our Go PRO team.

The IDC at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island, Borneo, is offered in a very attractive 1-month internship program.

This duration will offer our candidates the experience of real diving situations, where their level of supervision and leadership is called upon. Plenty of opportunity will be available to improve when assisting our island team of dive professionals as they conduct their various activities with our clients!
