Tunku Abdul Rahman Park: Scuba diving Kota Kinabalu!

When scuba diving Kota Kinabalu, Tunku Abdul Rahman Park (TARP) cannot be missed!

Downbelow Marine and Wildlife Adventures’ very own premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre is based on Gaya Island within the parameters of the protected marine park. The location offers our operations the convenience of smooth logistics and scheduling of our daily leisure diving programs.

Within the park, there are 49 recorded dive sites dotted around the 5 TARP islands : Gaya, Mamutik, Sulug, Sapi and Manukan. And there’s no dive site in the park that is further than a 10-minute journey from our island base camp either!

Surface intervals are kept to a minimum to maximise divers’ bottom time to explore the amazing biodiversity of the tropical reefs and spot its marine life inhabitants

Certified divers enjoying a day on Downbelow’s leisure diving program will visit 3 different dive sites during their 3 separate open water dive sessions, which will also be conducted from one of our fast speedboats.
Surface intervals are kept to a minimum to maximise divers’ bottom time to explore the amazing biodiversity of the tropical reefs and spot its marine life inhabitants.

Professional scuba diving internship packages created by our Go PRO advisors include UNLIMITED scuba diving for our candidates undertaking their diver training, such as the PADI Divemaster or the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC)! And internships, which are a minimum of 1 month, are designed to offer plenty of time for Go PRO interns to appreciate all benefits of their program.
